Yes, my mom and Julie are blogging so I figured....why not? My mother has urged me many many times to start writing down the funny things my kids say so why not here? Its a good of spot as any right?

I have to start with what he said to me the other day, we have been working on learning our whole name, he is also fascinated right now with knowing that his Mom's name is Sandee and his Dad's name is Joe. So Julie (whom he knows as Tauntie) were sitting in my living room and I said "No, Julie, that won't work." and he says to me. "No, you can't call her Julie, thats Tauntie, don't call her Julie, SANDEE!" Needless to say we both started laughing. He's a smart little booger.

So we've been working on his full name, he now knows his name is Dillon Joseph Crook. His Migi (Joe's mom) and I were sitting in the living room, and we were showing her that he knew his name. So we say whats Migi's name? and he says "Migi" and I go No, whats her whole name? and he looks at her and says "Are you a Crook?" We all laughed sooooo hard. He's so funny sometimes. Just thought I'd share those thoughts with you all!!

  1. Never thought of starting a blog about the funny things kids say. Mine are getting a little old for this stuff but I do remember trying to get Julie to say cookie. She would say tookie, and we would say no Julie it's cookie, c c cookie. And she would look at us and say c c tookie.
Then there is the time we asked two year old Susan and Kathryn if they wanted to invite some of their friends to a birthday party. They got these horrified looks on their faces and said "NO we don't want to bite our friends!"

  2. I have been told by Susan that I should include the time that I came home from work and mistook her for Kathryn. They are indentical twins after all and they were almost three. I walked in the door looked her in the eye and said "Hi Kathryn." To which she replied "no say hi Tackin Daddy, say hi me."

  3. Okay, I remember when I told the kids I had to go vote, but they had to stay with Daddy while I did this. Then they all cried and said they wanted to see the boat too. (That was Kathryn and Susan.)
